![]() Sestero and Bissell do a great job in using this to reveal not just aspects about the film but about its enigmatic, eccentric, originator in a timely fashion. The book divides its time between these two stories bouncing, for the most part chapter for chapter, between the two. The book is really the story of the film through the eyes Sestero (not just co-star but seemingly all round runner and dogsbody), as well as the story of his ‘friendship’ with the film’s creator and, for wont of a better word, auteur, Tommy Wiseau. A little while ago I posted a review of notoriously awful movie The Room and its dramatised making-of The Disaster Artist – Now I come to the book on which that second film was based, written by The Room’s co-star Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell, to see if I can glean anything more as to what exactly led to The Room being quite what it is. ![]()
